Write the brief for tomorrow
A short project brief is useful context for both you and your agent. Explain the outcome, the constraints, and how to recognize a good result. Update it when the work changes instead of appending another competing version.
Keep decisions near the work
An agent can discover that a button is blue. It cannot easily discover why the team chose that blue. Record decisions that would be expensive to reconstruct, especially the tradeoffs that look accidental from the outside.
Leave a useful next step
At the end of a session, save what is finished, what is unresolved, and the next action worth taking. Keep it concrete enough that a fresh agent can begin without first replaying the entire history.
Good agents need a good place to work.
